Thanks for visiting the Convoluted Muse! Law enforcement deciding the motive behind a crime is one thing while punishing the thoughts of a person is quite another. All crime, when you get down to it, is “hate crime.” Adding specious legislation doesn’t quell violence or reduce racism bigotry etc. It merely makes a mockery of our Constitution to further the political ends of an elite few. As to which group is being pandered to, look at the article, those pushing the legislation etc and you’ll see; we neeedn’t look too hard to figure this one out.

Wow, where to begin?
Many laws are written with the express purpose of protecting someone - whether you like it or not, this is supposed to mean minorities of all natures.
I would say that legislation of this sort is of a higher priority than defense expenditures.
Law enforcement has to decide the motive behind violent crimes - that’s hardly news.
Which voting block would you say they are pandering to?

Slepsta and Floyd,

Thanks for visiting the blog. I regret I have not kept it up as I’d like lately but appreciate your visits.

Slepsta - I could vote for Paul except for one issue: he’s attached himself to the Republican party. I think I understand why but I am a recovering republican and could not, in good conscience vote for him so long as he’s associated with this party.

Floyd - I like him too and no I don’t mind you commenting at all. I appreciate the kind comments regarding the post. If I was going to vote Republican Paul would be my candidate but I’ll probably stay Libertarian as I have for several elections now.

I like Ron Paul, he is now in 2nd place,,hmmm. nice blog found you on blog advance, hope you don’t mind me commenting? I would agree with Ron more than the other Republicans, you pointed out some interesting points on this.
